My fungia is devouring a small superman discosoma mushroom is this normal. Should i let it eat it. Last time i removed it but since my colony of mushrooms is big the sometimes de touch and flow around. Please advice

Does anyone know if this fungia coral is splitting? It has tentacles coming from the purple area where the coral is stretching out its epidermis.

Any idea why this Fungia looks different than the others like it at the lfs? I had it for about 6 months and it has looked like this for at least 4 months.
