17g return pump gph

I was initially going for around 500gph for my return pump to my 17g display from a 10g sump.

Poking around the forums it seems like most people with tanks less than 20g are around the 150-300gph range...

Thoughts and insights for a nano guy building his first sump? LOL

Old school used to suggest ten times the tank turnover rate. Now it is about 5-6 times and use a power head in the DT for additional flow. You need contact time in your sump.
