I like it. This way if a GFCI trips you #1, KNOW which device is at fault, and #2 still have most components running.

When I get around to it I am going to build an indicator light panel to be seen exterior to my tank. A simple cord and bulb plugged into the extra outlet just to let me know if a GFCI has tripped. The return pump is obvious, not so much the others. 4 lights on, 4 GFCI are good. I just need to stop being lazy. :rolleyes:
 
Sadly, I sent the stateside importer of these lights a link to this thread via facebook messenger. He read the message without any kind of reply. Either he does not care, or doesn't know what to say. I hope this issue doesn't get someone injured. Maybe it was only these two lights (purchased at different times) that have the issue (sarcasm).
