I was about to say I don't see that being an mk42 bed. How do you like it?

The stock build for the d-bot is OK. I have been making a lot of changes to increase bed stability and carriage stability. The folgertech ft5 bed I used sucks.

The 110F Temps here have been giving the printer a hard time too. Blew the relay for the bed, got stuck "on" like a heater so anytime the printer had power, the bed was heating up.

Yikes does it come with melzi board? Some of those printers have some of the safeties off (the tarantula is a bright example) but I think that for runaway heating like that the stock Marlin firmware has protections. You might want to look into that if your printer has melzi stock.

It doesn't come in a kit, you source everything yourself. I used a ramps kit and marlin firmware that has thermal runaway protection. The firmware was not initiating bed heating, the relay failed in the on position and gets it power directly from the power supply. Normally it only turns the bed on when directed by the ramps board.

Luckily, the bed sucks so it never got above 80C before I noticed it.

Modeled a mount for the bubble magus doser. The d-bot is down for an upgrade but I should be able to get the first test print out this week

Anybody have some good float switch holder designs?

I think there is one on thingiverse.com
There is, but I dont really like it much, and I dont have a printer. Iwant one thats adjustable hanging or preferably magnetic, and holds two switches, possibly offset just slightly.

I considered this but you have no control of how fast or slow it releases carbon, after having a crash due to a carbon source overdose, I'm too nervous to try it. Also, I found some filament pigments are toxic.
