Hi all,

I’m considering lighting for a 40B setup with mostly LPS (lots of euphillyas) and softies (shrooms zoas etc).

I was thinking of T5s or LEDs and the aquaticlife fixture seemed to be a good long term consideration.

Can you run the fixture off T5s only to start? I was thinking having a big 7” gap between the T5s would be a problem but fixtures like the wavepoint I’m not sure if they are good fixtures long term.

For LEDs - I was considering AI prime HDs, Ocean Revives (I think a single one might work at 12” high).

What are your thoughts about a lighting for a 3ft 40B that is going to be euphillya heavy?

I have a 40Breeder with an 24” AquaticLife Hybrid and a prime. Whole tank of torches, hammers, frogspawn, zoas and shrooms. It’s a lot of light. I actually had a few SPS in their and bleached them all.

I like this setup. Honestly if I could do it over again, I would have just got two primes.

The AquaticLife fixture is nice. It’s great actually and they have great customer service.

I have 2 Primes on my 40B and love them. I would definately go with 2 though. Coverage is great. I have a birdsnest that has grown from a twig to almost softball size in about 6 months.

Got pics so I can see [emoji28]. Haven’t really thought about a 24” [emoji848]

I can get a photo with the lights on later today.
