Hi all! I have been in the hobby for a few years and am upgrading to a 90g tank in a couple weeks. It is a slightly used setup but it is in pristine condition and I could not be more excited. However, it has a custom stand and hood which currently houses a 48" Current Orbit Marine LED (https://www.amazon.com/Current-USA-Marine-Aquarium-60-Inch/dp/B00GFTSV24). I am wondering if it would be appropriate to supplement this light with a 48" Coralife Dual T5 option (https://www.amazon.com/Coralife-Aqu...533008367&sr=1-1&keywords=coralife+48+inch+t5). There is not a lot of room in the hood so I am pretty limited to what kinds of light I can put in there. It almost has to be a 48" thin fixture. As much as I would love to ditch the hood and the Current LED and get Radions/Hydras/etc, my wife loves the aesthetic of the custom hood and I am trying to stick to somewhat of a budget.
My 36g tank right now which all of my livestock would come from houses about a dozen different softies/lps so I am only looking for a light that will grow these types of corals. I don't have any interest in sps or clams at the moment, and I won't venture into them until my budget allows for me to get more effective lights.
If the Coralife T5 option will work out, which 2 bulbs would be best? I am not too familiar with the Current LEDs but from my research I would probably just keep them on a mostly blue spectrum and then run 2 ATI T5 Coral Plus', or 1 Coral Plus and 1 Blue Plus. Any and all suggestions are very appreciated!
