Was feeding my tank today when I noticed a small piece of frozen food hanging off a confetti frag. I took a closer look and was shocked. I pulled out my macro lens to confirm, and was surprised to see this small frag of acropora actually appeared to be ingesting the food through it’s polyp.

The piece of food was there for a good 5 mins or so before the current blew it away. Not sure how much or if any the coral might have got out of it, but was still cool to see.

Cool! Coral feeds through it's polyps. The polyps catch the food and then pass it down to the gut where it is digested.
