why is weld-on 16 so hard to find these days? did someone figure out how to make meth out of it?

Yeah but not HD, WM, Lowes, Ace or even the major craft stores

Look for a acrylic supplier near you, they will have the glue. Amazon sells the scigrip products of if you can not find it local

I found some at a local hobby shop . Ya know where they sell train sets, airplane models etc

I encountered similar problems searching for acrylic cement. I found what I needed at AVAST Marine Works, they sent it with no problems.
