I have a problem with aeolid flatworms. At some point in time my six line wrasse dissapeared and I didn’t stress over it because, you know... they are evil jerks. Fast forward a year or so and now I have tons of aeolid flatworms that my missing six line is no longer eating. We are starting to reach plague proportions. All coral is growing fine but it’s an eyesore and it’s just getting worse. I just recently added a melanarus wrasse to see if it would eat the flatworm. It’s only been 2 weeks since the addition but it doesn’t seem to be eating/hunting them. My question is regards to using flatworm exit to kill them off. Does anyone know if aeolid flatworms release toxins when killed in numbers. To my knowledge, when people mention tank crashes after treating for flatworms, they are referring to red planaria flatworms or AEFW. What about aeolids, same problem? Any tips for me here? I spent a weeks trying to siphon them out every night but barely made a dent so I’m not sure how to proceed. Thanks in advance!

Siphon as many as you can. Melanurus wrasse will be a better tankmate an eat them
