AI hydra lighting

Hello reefers.

Not to long ago I bought a AI hydra. I am getting an algae out break and would like to hear from some of you on what schedule you are using. How long do you run the light? ETC..... Also I have set my light to turn off at 9pm or some but it will turn on in the middle of the night. I need some help.

I have 2 old hydra 26 on my tank. Set in a 20K mode and supplemented by 2 t5s. I run the hydras for 14 hrs a day including sunrise and sunset. In my opinion algae just dont happen because of lighting but when that lighting combine with unbalance nutrients and few other things. So, you need to check your nutrient too.

okay. How do you set it in a 20K mode?

I have it plugged in my apex...you can create different settings or use the preset ones.

It that only available with the apex? I dont have a apex.

I think they also have a cloud based control but I don't know much about it.
