Hello everyone I have had a reef tank for a little while now, but have yet to get great flow throughout my tank: size is 72*24*27. I have two wp-40s facing each other pointed towards the surface, on each end of tank. I have 3 drains across the back with 4 return inlets. Return pumps are 2 triton blue5 rated 1500 gph a piece and another rated at 720, which is split to feed my UV sterilizer. Here are some pics

Could be the wrong pump for such a long tank, but...

The first thing I would try is alternating when the pumps run.

One running at a time will have a greater effect per pump than having both running simultaneously.

Try running one for three hours, then the other one for three hour, etc. Try to use the flow from your return pumps (which is probably overkill) to target the biggest dead zones that each individual pump creates...which will probably be directly under each power head. (Later, behind the rocks too.)

My tank is 275 gallons I have an MP 60 a ton z-wave maker and a korolla got to make sure that your pump turns your tank over at least six to eight times per hour
