Hey Guys,

I have been having a problem the past few days were air bubbles seem to be forming all over my tank, even on my corals.

I did recently change the lights about a week ago.

Any thoughts on what to do here?

Following. I have recently seem the same issue in my tank, not on corals but other places.

I have noticed brown hair algae. The more I google the more it looks like Dinoflagellates... God I hope it not

been blowing them off with baster and removing all I can in a net, cleaning all filter pads and filter sock every other day. I got rid of a lot by doing this. I did a 7 day total blackout which I thought worked 100% but they came back about a week later. I just ordered and received fauna marine ultra algae x from bulk reef supply and did my first dose tonight. This was my last resort.

A good clean up crew will do the trick, check out reefcleaners.org itl tell you what eats dino. Stronger water flow and less nutrients will help too.

more flow does not help either, I have more than enough flow and the dinos are all over my powerheads in max flow, it does not phase them

I'll look into buying the Fauna. Let me know if you notice a difference.

will do, I have read great things on it, I just hate adding chemicals to my reef but I tried every other option with no luck. I did reduce the amount of them a lot but just cant get rid of them 100%

8G nano
SG 1.024-1.025
5 or less PPM nitrates (can never remove completely)
0 ammonia
0 nitrites
0 phosphate

I have been doing 20% water changes twice a week with reef crystals (I have been told this will keep my other levels fine for the size of my tank)

I am also reading about a 3-5 day blackout, but from what I can tell they will just end up coming back...

Ugh this sucks. I'll try the 3 day complete blackout and see how it goes. Do you guys know if I should feed during the blackout?
