I use chaeto, i’m not su4e it does much to the tank though

Chaeto like most other macro's are good to reduce or maintain nutrients in the setup.
If tank is looking good don't make a change.

So I am assuming you are talking about phytoplankton for the fuel source... but which one and how are they expressing the fuel? I have looked into it for a while, but it seems like they are wasting a lot of the byproducts of the phyto. I would think you could use it as a fertilizer or at least pull some more of the chemicals(not sure if that is the right word, but I am going with it;Bored) out of it. Could you use it in cosmetics, ice cream, perfume(instead of sperm whale vomit)? This is all very intriguing to me and I would love to learn more!!;) I am going to be working on my phyto this year and need to know more.

Is there an easy way to seperate wild cultures?
