all for reef dosing help!

I have a 20 gallon IM and its consuming .5 alk each day and I'm dosing Red Sea foundation B to keep it at 12. how much would I need to dose of all for reef to keep it around 12?

12 on Alk is on the high end. Do you have a reason for keeping it so high?

The back of the bottle says to keep it between 7-9. I have similar numbers to you and i keep my dkh at around 9 with All For Reef. I have 100 gallons and dose about 25ml per day to keep it there.

I think that is a technically incorrect way to give an alkalinity value for their solution, but I understand it must mean the solution is 5600 dKH.

6.8 ml added to 20 gallons (76 L) will boost alkalinity by 6.8 mL*5600 dKH/76,000 mL = 0.5 dKH

I’ve tried keeping it around 8 or 9 and the acros always died on me, keeping it around 12 worked and I’ve gotten pretty good growth and colour

What test kit are you using? 12 is still in the safe range but it’s the upper end of safe. The worst thing for corals is an Alk swing.

And who said growing up we wouldn't continue to use math Just kidding. I think it may be unrelated but Tropic Marin AFR also has a dosing calculator. Probably to start the initial dose rather than increase. So not sure if this helps at all.
