I have a nuvo fusion 20 that has been running for a year now and all the parameters seems pretty stable to me so i decided it time for me to add anemone since i always want one, i do order anemone online and it suppose to come in yesterday but instead it was delay and just got here today, the water seem so cloudy and i don’t know if he ok or not.

PS: i used to order all my coral online and never happen for that late delivery and never seen any water that look cloudy like that.

I would start with floating the bag to bring him up to your tank temp, and then do a drip acclimation. Hopefully with your stable mature water parameters he should bounce back. #reefsquad Any other advice?

right now i already float that on my tank, i have to run back home just to float him since i have these ship to my work address.

it looks at least stressed, hopefully not dead but that much cloudy water is a bad sign. In this case I would discard the water it came with, place in a separate tank/bowl or anything and fill with your DT water and observe. You don't want to place it directly in your DT to avoid it fouling water if dead or dying. Unfortunately, I don't think you have the luxury of drip acclimation in this case. Good luck, hope it pulls through!

I agree with the advice above. If the anemone itself has a bad odor I'd think about notifying the seller as DOA. If the anemone stinks I'd also think twice before putting in your tank. You don't have a lot of water volume so that could cause some problems.
+1

This is really sad :(

i already discard all the water and replace with my tank water and put them separately from MD.

i already notify them when first seeing it, and i think they not gonna do anything since these delay was cause by fedex. I got a nuvo 20 but modify them to have a sump from eshopp and 10g breeder as a refugium.

I'm sorry to say, but that pic of the nem in the holding container doesn't look very promising. Let's hope it's just an issue of bad stress and it slowly recovers. Next few hours will be critical. Fingers crossed!

That an enemy is not mine and I am extremely ticked off please let me know where you bought that so I know never to buy anything from them

It's not the sellers fault. It got delayed in shipping. The shipping company is at fault.

Hopefully the vendor can cut a deal for a replacement.

Tagging to see ;Wideyed if a small miracle pulls off.

If you gently swirl the water inside container:
Does the anemone float around or has it planted it's foot?

Thanks, Freddie

Is that holding container completely sealed off? So it is sitting in stagnant water?

Really for a delay I don't think the water or nem look as bad as they could, milky water is where I worry more.

I'm actually kinda surprised they put that much water in the bag.

If it's a BTA I'd say chances are good for recovery, they are pretty resilient.

Best bet usually for all new anemone's is QT and observe, protects from any possible bacteria infections spread to existing nems, and also helps keep from nuking display if a nem mushes and dies.

If it set it's foot that is a good sign, keep an eye, I would not give up on it.
