Angel fish pairing

It is possible, I think it has been done before but I can't confirm where I saw that, here is a similar Resplendent x Cherub. That being said you will have to get particularly lucky to get tolerant pair. Those two species are some of the most aggressive in the entire genus, and successfully forming interspecies pairs of angles is very rare.

Yeah, breeding pygmy angels in captivity is very difficult as it's virtually impossible to tell male from female with them. To my knowledge the Flame Dwarf Angel is the only one where you can tell for sure based on it's coloration. Add in the fact that pygmy angels are one of the most aggressive and difficult to breed and the odds are definitely stacked against you.

Pairing is perhaps the wrong word here. They may coexist but I highly doubt you would see any breeding. Hybrids in dwarf angels aren't formed because two different species fall for each other but because there are spawnings going on and the sperm and eggs get mixed up.
If hybrids are formed in captivity it will be because we strip eggs and sperm from the fish and attempt to artificially spawn them.

Just for reference a great number of dwarf angels exhibit some degree of sexual dichromatism. In addition to the Flame, the Rusty, Whitetail Pygmy, Herald's, Keyhole, Potters, Resplendent, Shepards, and Interruptus all exhibit permanent sexual dichromatism. With a number of others showing temporary changes during courtship.
