Video doesn’t play for me but I for one would be getting it out of my tank until an ID can be made.. if you take a small container and add a couple inches of water into the bottom and then place something like a small egg crate rack into container to set the rock on so it’s at the top of water level whatever is in the rock will most likely come out and make its way into the water underneath.

it may take a while, I would cover container or leave it undisturbed maybe even in the dark for a hour or so and see if worm has come out.. this is not a 100% foolproof method but I have had some success getting undesirables out of rock in the past.

the other thing that can work if you know what hole it’s in is pouring a small amount carbonated water or club soda into the hole, won’t hurt your rock and works great for crabs not sure about whatever’s in your rock though.

No club soda, I just hope it hasn’t moved to a new rock. Lid on now in itS own room.

Is the rock suppose to be in the water at all or just above it.

Just above the water. You want it to leave the rock in search of water. Theoretically it should leave and crawl into the water

Left the rock out over night. Nothing came out. Could it still be in there or did I get the wrong rock? I have heard of a fresh water dip that gets the things out. If I do that to rock that have living things on/in them will it hurt them?

Ok so did the soda water thing and nothing happened. Also setup a trap in the tank and nothing. So I broke up the rock and there it was, dead.
