with some issues in the past with anthias i wanted to know if i should step away or go with my current mind set.

i currently have a new sunburst anthias in my 50 gal and was looking into getting a male and female sunset anthias. i had an issue with a lyretail in the past killing my favorite blotched and sunburst so after removing him i decided i would try again. i would put them both in qt for about a month before putting them in the display.

Anyone with experience, are sunset anthias aggressive? has anyone had any issue with them?

Sunsets, Pseudanthias parvirostris are quite peaceful, much less aggressive than lyretails. You should not have any issue with your sunburst, in fact they should pretty much ignore each other.

I do recommend getting a trio rather than a pr to lessen aggression within their hierarchy.

Thanks for the advice. When my blotched was killed I pretty much got turned away from anthias. Let's see this time around
