I am pretty confident in ruling out euronema the sores arnt red, looks like maybe fin rot? I just got this girl in the mail so I’m curious as to what is affecting her and if just upping her nutrition and keeping good water/uv will let her heal up over time. https://youtube.com/shorts/5j_DUPYwSDc?feature=share of course she is a damsel so it’s not acting sick and is eating very well, so it’s pretty hard for me to tell I’m still new to diagnosing this kind of stuff.

This is damage from nipping and my suspect would be the Domino damsel. Its fins are very much picked at and continued behavior can result in death. To verify, you can try setting your phone on video mode for about 30 - 40 mins, feed the tank and walk away - You MUST walk away and come back and review. You should see your culprit. Fish often show aggression during feeding to hog the food and show dominance

I don’t see Uronema either. The ripped fins and general tattered appearance indicate something may be picking on it. If it didn’t have ripped fins when you got it, the culprit is in your tank. However, this is a pretty large, tough damsel, not much will pick on it - what’s the fish list for the tank?

yeah its nothing in my tank, its all added today except for him a midas and a scopas tang, she came like that. i dont tolerate aggression in my tank and will rehome instantly and my pinks have been totally peaceful so far. so are you thinking it will heal on its own? i dont qt for space in my home reasons and am treating with copper in the display now that its stocked up. the domino is exactly like it. as long as it heals healthy she can be as ugly as she wants thats not my concern.

The differential diagnosis would be the ripped fins are just a visual distraction and the ratty looking skin is due to parasites. If the fish are in full copper, that will treat protozoans. If it doesn’t heal up or if it gets worse you might consider treating with praziquantel for flukes at a later date.
