Anyone ever experience this?

Came home from work and found my peppermint shrimp eating asterina starfish. Anyone experience this before?

They do that when thy are not getting enough food. Some just like doing it because it is an easy food item.

They will eat anything, including corals. Increased feeding may help. I pulled mine out.

Yeah I have been thinking about bringing him back to the lfs

In my previous tank, I caught them eating a sand sifting star. I pulled them all out.

I like him specifically because as soon as i put any aiptasia in the tank, he immediately begins to eat it and it will all be gone in a matter of hours.

I have not seen him eat any corals yet, but after seeing him eat the asterina starfish, I'm beginning to think he's starting to find other sources of food.
