Just picked up this frag last night from my LFS - I'd never seen anything like them. They are a darkish yellow with black mouth, looong skirts and black tips on the skirts. I was calling them black eyed susan's

I have some of those, not very colorful, but they are different with the black mouth and black tips.. The guy I got them from called them Death Palys but I don't know if that is the right name.

cool - everyone has different names for stuff - and they aren't the most colorful - but I picked them up because I'd never seen anything like them before :)

Those are stick polyps, (right?), not a Zoanthus sp. Acrozoanthus is the Genus, I think. Intersting coral that has been overlooked. Not much color, but interesting non the less. I've got about a 15" stick loaded with polyps. I think I ready that if you cut the tips, the form stops growing in that direction, so I've been reluctant to cut. I need to reverify that... Mine don't have the cool black mouths, though (I don't think).

many people do not know that these grow only on sponge(stick)...and it is impossible to keep them without flourishing sponge ... you cant put them on the frag plug or the rock... from my own experience it was always a waste of money when i take them from LFS the most they made it in the tank was 3-4 month

hmm interesting - we'll see - I had a couple polyps come loose that I glued to a piece of rock as well (besides this frag still on the squishy tube)

Did you get those at Sting Ray? I picked some up too! On Ultimate Frags.com they are calling them Black Eyed Peas.
