Greetings everyone,

I just purchased some aquacultured live rock, and found this critter. Can someone ID it? Also what kind of coral is in the video? Thanks I'm new to saltwater I tried to upload a video, but it didn't work

Need a picture / video.

Almost looks like a mantis shrimp. It’s hard to tell with the blue lights and the graininess.
That's good going to guess that seeing as there's no video attached ha ha unless wasn't video then after redfishbluefish posted the op posted video for you to see but then deleted video again as I see diddly squat ^_^

Op just loaded up a bunch of video clips, it’s really hard to tell what it is.

Actually, I have to agree it does look like a mantis shrimp (stomatopod). Can't say for sure without a better picture (preferably under white lighting), but that would currently be my guess.

Pics are too dark. Please retake under white lights and assure lens and glass are clean

I'll try to get better pics tomorrow. If it is mantis shrimp is it ok to keep, or are they more of problem? I want to get clown fish and some cleaner shrimp

If you plan on keeping fish. The mantis need to go. Also, they pack a powerful thump from their claw and it’s said that they can crack aquarium glass.

Mantis for sure. I would move it immediately to its own tank or pass it on to someone if you don't want it
