Hey All

take a look at this picture. I noticed this the other day. I have a piece of branch coral with star polyps growing all over it and just recently I saw these white things pop up out of now where. Anyone see this before or know what it is? The spots I'm taking about are on each side of the snail you see.

Thanks
Mark

That is the star polyps new growth. When they run out of room the stolon mate begins to branch out. It will turn the uniform purple colour in time and you'll see new polyps emerge. These are great if you want to frag it, just cut them off and glue them to something.

Ah that makes sense and have had a ton of that on the original star polyp rock. Didn’t even think about that. Thanks Mort
