I wasn't happy with the amount of daily skimmate I was getting out of my skimmer. A Mag Drive 5 pump powers the skimmer through a 1/2" ID tubing. The inlet for the skimmer accepts 3/4" ID hose so I switched out the 1/2" for a 3/4" and boy did I notice a difference. Almost immediately the skimmer started producing twice as much bubbles and foam as before. I'm glad I changed the tubing. The wider the tubing the easier the pump can shot flow through.

i just got the aqua c ev120 and when i researched i found out that a pump 600-700 gph is best for this skimmer
im gunna be using an oceanrunner 2500

I came home two hours after adjusting the new tubing to find my skimmer overflowing with a clear liquid. The skimmer is probably making twice as many bubbles as before. Does this mean I'm over-skimmer? Should I decrease the amount of air being supplied to lower the amount of bubbles going into the cup or will this naturally break itself in?
