Ok my peeps I need your help!

I am going to start aquascaping my new tank even though its not here yet. I plan on laying out the dimensions of the tank on the floor or a table and taping it off.

What I want to do is use rods to mount the rock together except I have no idea what I need to do this. Anybody have any experience with this?

Also I would like some help with ideas on how I should aquascape. I want the tank to have an open feel and a deep feel with some built up areas for LR.

The tank is 72" long by 32" wide by 24" tall. The overflow is on the outside so I have all this room and I want a killer look! :D

I am off to PS to try and think up some ideas.

I also should mention that I want the sides clear for cleaning as well as the back open for flow and maybe scraping.

Where did you get your tank I would love a glass tank with these dimensions. I have been dreaming up my next tank somthing like 72" long x 36" wide x 24" tall I want it to be a penisala tank. with overflows built into the 2 of the 36" side corners

www.Oceallc.com is building the tank. It is eurobraced with black silicone and starfire glass on the front and side. :) I am stoked! The overflow is 36" and spans the outside back of the tank.

I have yet to see a tank that had or has better aquascaping than forum member Keeperz. That look gets my vote.

i say a couple islands of rock with different types of coral at different levels and seperate your stonies from anything soft or lps with the islands.

Now do the rods screw into something you make or what?

Just drill holes in the rock 2 inches or so. Make the rode like 4 inches or so. Drill the holes where you want them and stick the rods in

See Attachment: Red lines are examples of the rods. You can either use reef safe expost or nothing.
