Has anyone used a product like Universal Rocks inserts for a rock aquascape on the back wall. They look interesting and seem to get mixed reviews. I am planning a FOWLR, so light will not be an issue.. my guess is they will absorb a lot of light?
I would use live rock for the base aquascape, but use the insert for the back wall.
Not sure people's thoughts or experiences??
Thanks.

I really like them and thought about using - my only concern was cleaning - in my reef tank (which has a lot of light). Of course that would not apply to a Fowlr. Second - the possibility of dead-space - no circulation behind the background. When I looked into them - I tried to see if there was much mention of this potential problem - and couldn't find it. They certainly look nice. Let us know (pictures:)) what you decide to do

Not sure if the brand, but one of my LFS in Columbus (aquarium adventure) has a display with a 3D rock background. They said they just siliconed it in. Best I could tell they siliconed the edges so that water and debris couldn’t get behind it.
