I am not happy with my aquascape. I am thinking about taking it all out and redoing it, using what I have so I don't lose any of my bacteria and have to cycle over again but I'll be breaking it up and creating a better scape design. My question is, has anyone else done this with an established tank, and what were your hurdles? I know I'll have to be careful with the corals that I have that are attached to the rock and not on a plug any more and I'm sure things will not be happy for a little bit but I'm curious as to if it will be worth it to open up flow better and eliminate dead spots in my tank. I will also use this breakdown as a chance to grab some impulse purchase fish that need to be rehomed for their own good (yellow tang in a too-small home).

If you make sure you keep everything ‘wet’ and up to temperature, if your using a separate bucket or tank, you should be fine.

PS make sure we see the new design pictures for our approval!

@SPR1968 yeah, I have a small 10gal tank that I was going to put everything into for "holding" while I worked on it and put my heater and powerheads in to keep the flow going. I will definitely be putting after pictures up on my build thread once it's done.
