Hi my candy cane frag has started to deteriorate and I have inspected it and just wondered if the pink things are tunicates and there is some yellow stuff spreading over it to is this sponge? Don't know what to do cause it's killing candy canes off [emoji52]

The yellow is sponge. The red looks like vematid snails maybe. The snails could be irritating the candy canes.

I'll try get better picture after they shrunken cause I been touching them

Well I really like tunicates so I don't want to get rid of them cause I've never had any before [emoji23]

the pink ones are most likely vermatid snails. They are annoyance. The base should be hard. Observe them , if you can see mucous like floating string .. coming out of them, its definitely vermatid snail. The base should be hard as well, you have to remove the base to get rid of them

It definitely not vermatid snail cause they soft and I ended one yesterday with super glue [emoji23] he was living on my clam and his mucus web kept irritating my gorgonia. I really hoping it is tunicates I actually like them more than candy canes [emoji23]
