Armageddon zoa question

Hi guys, ok I finally found some armegeddon zoa frag for sale. Its bit high in price I think ($37.00/polyp), but I'm willing to pay for it. Only thing is that it seems like everyone who had this zoa ended up melting them?? I guess what I'm trying to ask is that is there anybody here who actually still have them growing w/o any problem?? Is armegeddon something I should not even attempt to spend money??? Any input would be helpful (lights, position in the tank etc). Thanks

i have had a few different frags and so far all have melted away, i still have a tiny frag of them but they arent even thriving not even open all the way just barely and havent got thier true color in yet... so havent had much luck with mine

I think I have them along with Armor of Gods and Devils Armor. They all are rather moody.

I kept a frag for over 3 years till my Purple Tang ate them.

Then I had a frag of over 20 and they melted and then a frag of over 30 and they all melted.

i had good luck with them when i got a frag that were over 30 heads every time i got a frag that had 5 or 10 on it. it melted on me. but for lighting they are on the bottom of my 125 with 8 48' t5 powered by ice cap 660 ballasts. so i would say lower light and i have them in medium to all most high flow. hope this helps

painful memories... must've tried at least a dozen frags and most will do good for as long as 3 months, then slowly melt away...

I had a clump. I fraged it . Sold a Big frag. Went on vacation and came home and all melted. 6 months later they started popping up on old frag rocks.
