Another question. When coral comes do you all use the plug or is there a way to attach with out it?

I don't like the look of a plug and it may take a while for the coral to grow over it; I remove the plug once coral has acclimated and I'm sure of where I want to locate it, then I glue it to a rock or a piece of rubble (rubble lets you move it more easily in case you change your mind, etc.)

I typically cut the bottom post off of a plug and then attach that to the rock. If the coral seems to be easy to remove without damaging I remove it.

Like @Mikedawg said, it's easier to move the frags around if they are on a plug and aren't doing well in the spot you put them .

I always remove the plug. I find it's much easier to glue to the coral directly to the rocks than trying to fit a flat disc in anywhere.

I cut them off plug then just sit them on rock. if they like the spot they encrust

Yea I also am going to use rubble, it looks better than the discs. This is why I am going to file my sump with some rubble and leave it in there's until I need it. Problem with gluing it directly is that it becomes harder to remove without damaging it.
