Hey Guys I got a great deal on an Gold torch a week ago and he seemed great until two days ago. Now it’s going down quick and I need help to save him.

All my other corals seem great, including another torch and hammer at the same height in the tank. It appeared at first it was on one side now it appears to be affecting the entire organism. I did dip him prior to introducing him to the tank and blew off his base. No bugs that I saw came off.

The tank is about 15 months old and the parameters are good. Only thing that’s changed is my phosphates have dropped to 0. I have a new meter coming today to double check but other than that not much has changed.

Any help us greatly appreciated!

What are your parameters? "Good" usually doesn't provide enough context to everyone on the forum.

How did you acclimate to your tank?

Torch is not looking good, and most of the time when they are at this state it's too late to save it.

I drip acclimated him over 45 mins like I normally do.

0 ammonia/nitrite
10 nitrate
430 calcium
9.4 alkalinity
8.2 ph
1360 mag
0 PO4

feed a little more often and or add more fish. I keep a heavy bioload so they do the feeding of my corals for me. I keep around 5 NO3 and .08-.15 po4
