Just size the container to be somewhere between 1 and 7 days worth of evaporation so you don't have to fill it too often. Keep it less than what would cause a flood

i have a bc29 so it doesnt take a lot to flood it haha.. as longest i keep my salinity stable I'm happy. doesnt matter if i have to refill it ever other day.. I'm by my tank watching it all the times!

autotopoff.com fits the bills. Have double protection, 2 float switches, and have a switch inside the ATO reservoir to stop the pump from running dry. And use a container that is small enough, just in case the float switches fail all at the same time...!

Okay, so here's my story. I have a BC29 reef tank! running for 2 months now. So i want to get a auto top off for it but I'm a person who worries about things way to much and fear that stuff will go wrong!! who thinks to much negativity. So i want to get a ato but one that i can trust! don't want to flood my living room! or I'm F*** lol. Im renting so any damage to floors oh oh!!! So whats a good trusted ato! and my budget is around 100$ lol...

I use a Hydor auto top off. Well under $100 and zero problems for over a year now.

You all with Tunze 3152s and had issues must have gotten bad ones. I've been using mine for 2 1/2 years with no issues of not shutting off or not working properly. I actually have one sitting in the box still brand new as a backup but have yet to use it or any parts from it.
