Don't think so. Sound travels differently through water and glass.
Ever been in a pool, stick your head in the water and all noises are muffled? yea not a problem

I have a rather loud stereo next to my bedroom tank with a subwoofer. I also sleep with the tv on all night. I have had zero issues.

I only guess that background noise does bother your aquarium inabitants, also what programmes you watch might also effect Thier ability to sleep, try different background noises like ocean waves and various programmes daily to see what makes them more comfortable
