Hello All,

I am in the process of planning a basement fish room. I plan to have sump with skimmer, refuge, auto top off, RODI and a cleaning station. These is space to grow so I could add a frag tank.

Question 1 : How many pipes should I run from the tank to the basement space. The display tank is 192G.

I was thinking 4
  1. Main drain
  2. Secondary drain
  3. Main return
  4. open for various uses
Sound good? Should I add a 5th just because I can now and later it will be difficult?

Question 2 : What type of salt resistant paint for cinder block and concrete?

Thanks,
Dan

I have a basement fish room too!!! Four lines sound good to me if you want to add #5 now just because sure but I don't really have issues drilling etc as needed (your situation may be different). I use drylok for masonry sealing, it does carry a bit of a price tag though.
