Bath towel leeching?

Is it possible that a towel could leech soap into a tank? Even if exposed for less then a minute?

I wouldn't worry to much about a towel that landed in the tank for a minute.

Haha I lay a towel on top of the tank when doing a water change so the returns don' splash water all over everything. Forgot to remove it before tank filled

If there is soap on it, it will certainly release some very quickly, but I also agree it isn’t likely a problem. Maybe a tad extra foaming in your skimmer.

I look at it like no question is dumb at this point. I'm surprised on some of the weird things I find out in this hobby haha
