Having difficulty figuring this out. Do I need to set my heater to a certain temp to work? What do I put for the hv setting. Perhaps someone can give me an example of their settings? Are you using the alarm feature?

Well Good news bad news. I have 3 of them and 3 stes of instructions. All are different, and the one I do have the instructions are not correct.
Yes Im using the alarm but it set it to 83.
You need to set the range you want it to work in.

Do you have the instructions?
your using it for heat so its the 120v?

You using this for a heater? I was using an Aqualogic rebranded Ranco temperature controller and had the stupid thing fry itself. Lucky I didn't start a house fire.

I thought the controller was to protect your heater from frying out?

My heater didn't fry the rebranded Ranco controller killed itself. I took it apart and the main relay inside had melted and charred the inside. Smelled like an electrical fire.

This is the model I have

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01K...1493604613&sr=1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65

I only use it for heating but it can be setup with a chiller too and will work to keep your temp at the Set Value.

I only changed like two setting the SV and Hd

That will let the temp fall .2 degrees from the set value before it kicks on the heaters. The Cd would allow it to go up a certain amount from the set value before it kicked on the chiller or fans.

I don't have alarms set as I have my apex as the backup and it will text and email me

I don't know what the P7 is about and didn't change it either.

Thanks ! Does this override your current heater setting or does that have to be set to a certain temperature?

I have my apex set to 83F I believe. Then I have a ranco plugged into those set at 80F I think. Then I have the bayites plugged into the Rancos set down to 77.6 for the summer. For the winter I have them set higher. Then I have my heater plugged into the bayites.

It's multiple of everything. Two dedicated individual 20 amp dual CAFCI/GFCI protected circuits. Two Apex EB832s. Two Rancos. Two bayites. Two finnex titanium heaters.

So, if all you had was a heater with a built in thermostat and the bayite. I would set the temp you want on the bayite like 78F and then set the temp on the heater higher like 82.

Does the bayite unit make a clicking sound when it turns on and off? Just wondering if this is normal. It's kinda loud.
