It's not as simple as just switching the outlet. This is something for an electrician to handle.
In a pinch, use a powerstrip with a built in GFI. Serves the same purpose. You should be able to find one at any big box store like Depot or Lowes

If you know how to install an outlet, it's pretty easy. The biggest issue I've seen is that some outlet boxes are too small to house the gfi

Let tank cycle for 1 1/2 months with no fish. Use pure ammonia, a piece of raw shrimp for a week, or a cup of urine.

Totally misread this as an "and" instead of an "or." I poured the ammonia in the tank, ate the shrimp and drank the urine.
