Ok, so currently I'm feeding Reef Roids but I'm getting a jar of Benepets. I usually feed Reef Roids every 3 days. Should I alternate and feed each once a week or should I mix the two and feed half of each twice a week? Is there a good combination? Reef Roids full portion, then half Benepets half Reef Roids? I have a mixed tank with mostly montis/digits, some Stylos (both types) a couple of favias , a hammer, 3 Gonis, and an alveopora.

any particular reason you're buying a jar of benepets?

personally, i would alternate, not mix. i alternate between reef chilli, reef roids, and benepets.

Not buying, I'm receiving one as a freebie from a live sale I purchased from.

freebies are always great! i don't have much experience with benepets as i rotate with two other products, so i can't give much information on it. i have read a lot that people who have used reef roids switch to benepets because it doesn't alter po4 as much.

i use benepets most times, and occasionally will use coral feast, when i started 3 years ago i used reef roids, and noticed my phosphates go thru the roof...no longer use them..i feed benepets twice a week.

Thanks! I have a brand new Reef Roids package that I just bought. Maybe I'll try Benepets twice, Reef Roids once. I have noticed my corals seem happier but I noticed an increase in algae lately.

I tried reef chili and similar products with the same results as you. Seems too much of it gets sucked up into the filters and my skimmer goes off the rails for a day and the leftovers end up decaying in my sump. I switched to reef nutrition awhile back and problems have gone away.

I use Reef Roids every once in awhile or when my nutrients are getting too low but use Benereef on a more regular schedule as it doesn't spike phosphate like Reef Roids does.

I have used all of the above and more. Another super clean option that I have used is ME Coral’s ME Super Coral Food (@marke). I think you’ll find it interesting to see what is and isn’t included in the ingredients.
