Berghia Experience

That's why I refused to even try peppermints. Too risky for my little 20g. I hope you didn't lose too many Acans.

I will take you up on that! I will have the aiptasia tank setup next week. Too busy trying to get new display moved to my house to do it now.
Sounds good! It has predrilled Spots for frags to... now just gotta figure out how to ship it. ....

I fear I waited too long to get aiptasia producing. I've seen a berghia next to the last group of aips tonight. I am leaving for the weekend and they may be starving when I get home Sunday night... We shall see... eggs are still on the Trachy.

Long weekend away so it's time for an update. My tank appears aiptasia free! I spotted a few 1/2" berghia scouting the glass lastnight when I got home. I'm picking up a rock of aiptasia from a local reefer after work. I'll get it in a separate tank and start catching them off the display glass tonight. Hopefully I can catch most before they start starving!

Glad to see them working for you man. We just took half the tank apart to retrieve 3 peppermint shrimp that liked the taste of acans more than aptasia.

Wow. I thought I had some freak of nature, psycho shrimp. I just Fuged my PS for destroying two of my corals I just got from the WWC live sale. They may recover, but he’s in Shrimp jail, the little butt#*!£

I just saw this guy finally. I hadn't seen any in a couple days. Looks like the cleared out all of the aiptasia and disappeared? I had heard once the tank was clean they could be found on the glass. I never saw any small ones from the eggs I had seen all over. I figured I would be pulling them out left and right when they ate all the aiptasia. Oh well... my tank is happy now :)

I would recommend berghia to anyone! They were great.

Anyone have this experience? Mine aren't doing their job...lol. I have so many aiptasia that they don't seem to be eating them. I found one on a snail today...a single nudi. But yet my problem is still at large.

How long ago did you add the nudis?

Hmm... but my infestation is getting worse by the day
I would spend the $100 and throw 20 more nudis in at night throughout your rock work. I placed them around the tank in groups of 2-4. My tank was fairly small though at only 20g.

Idk where you got yours, but I bought 8 of them and it was just shy of 100....
