I am in the market for a new dosing pump. I currently have a Bubble Magnus dosing pump and it never doses accurately, even with new heads, new tubes etc. Customer service very poor as well. At this point I'm not concerned with cost, looking for quality and reliability. I was considering the GHL doser or Vertex. Any suggestions or info is appreciated.

Litermeter 3 from Spectrapure. Been running mine for 5 years now. They are the industry leaders in dosing pumps. Customer service is fantastic and the units have a 5 year warranty. The more expensive dosing systems you see are cheap Chinese units slapped inside of a fancy housing.

I'm happy with the BRS 1.1 dosing pumps....been running about two years.

I kind of agree with you but they make these units so appealing being so compact and controllable. In the end reliability is the most important thing. I used a liter meter back in the day and it was good. I would need the head unit and 2 more modules. How many modules are you running? Do you have a pic of how you have them mounted by any chance?

4 years on my Drew's Dosers... Still running great and accurate. Original tubing as well.

Looks like reliable construction but @ 1.5ml per minute this is a very slow doser. I am dosing up to 300ml daily on a module. This thing would be running all day. I don't know if this is the best doser for my application?

I love my Vertex Libra. It's very user friendly.

Do you have the DC or stepper motor? How long have you been using it? Thanks :)

Yea man I totally forgot about these pumps, now they're definitely an option for me. I'm not afraid to go old school, I still run MH :D

I'm about to build some I will post on how they turn out

Good luck on your build!

The Litermeter doesn't have the best mounting options, since the head unit is separate from the remote modules. That is a downside but I have mine in a fish closet 20+ feet away from my aquarium. The pumps have no issues dosing my alkalinity and calcium throughout the day. I dose around 200-300 mL. The pumps dose something in the order of 100+ separate times throughout the day to reach the desired daily dosing level specified on the pump.

DC motor. Been using it since September. No problems at all. There was a firmware update that fixed a fee issues when it was first released. All you do is tell it how many mLs you want to dose, from what time period and how often and it automatically does it. For example, I dose 180 mls of mag a day, 24 hours a day every hour.
