Best Sand for this Use?

Hello, I am thinking about adding sand to a media reactor I have that is not currently in use. I'd like to use sand because the reactor is very large and in a tight spot underneath my stand. Does anyone know what the largest/heaviest sand on the market is? I would like to be able to run the maximum amount of water through this reactor so I would like the largest sand. Thanks for the help.

It may be better to use something like bio balls in that case

For a fluidized sand reactor, you'll ideally want a grain size of 0.3 - 0.5. Regular pool filter sand should work for this application. Wash it well first.
