Hi guys.
This arrived with the TBS sand.

Any idea what it’s official name is?

lol, may be way to small for garlic and butter.
Doesn’t appear to either of those listed above hence me asking.

Has quite a rough shell, which is in a pyramid type pattern. If I could describe it that way. Basically squares where each raises to a point.

As typical with clams, it appears to have two syphon holes through which it filter feeds.

This ones also not too fond of light and tends to bury itself deep in the substrate in shadowy areas.

Either way, a very interesting find.

I'm struggling to see the shape well, but possibly a Jewel Box Clam?

Edit: Or a Prickly Cockle might be a better fit.
