Blasting algae off gsp

my gsp is fully open but a few strings pf brown algae is sticking to the polyps could i use a syringe to blast the algae off with water

hi, that or a lot of us keep a turkey baster handy for things like this.

Thank i dont have one lol my dad does all the cooking so till now i have no excuse to own one but i did you a tiny tiny pump which did the trick
