Blenny lifespan?

How long do Lawnmower blenny's live? I had mine for over 2 years and i just lost him the other day. Just wanted to see how long some of you have kept your blenny's alive. Thanks

I have a starry blenny that is 3 years old and a barnacle blenny that is a year and a half old.

I'm pretty sure I lost mine today. He never missed a meal and today he didn't show up for one. I can see mouthprints on the glass, so he was around within the last day, but I have a real feeling that he died. I had him for 2 years, but he was full grown when I got him. I have never heard of anyone keeping them much longer than 3 years. I wish I knew their real natural lifespan so that I could better access if I did an ok job caring for him and if I should get another. He was my favorite fish.

I stumbled across this thread after searching how long lawnmower blennies live. I lost mine yesterday. He was the heart of our aquarium , he perched on me when i would clean the aquarium. It hit me so bad , i never thought i would feel that way toward a fish. We burried him in our garden planter.
