So I just got this beauty off DD a little over a week ago. Ever since I got it it has not polyped out or stopped sliming, rather excessively. I mean to the point where I can scoop slime out with my hand. I have it in my biocube 29g with 30 cree XR-Es in the hood as a retro kit. I have a vortech mp10 on order to increase my flow since I plan on getting more SPS. Now today I noticed the tips of the coralites seem to be starting to brown.

I have heard it could be potassium (which I don't dose [yet] but a friend is going to give me some to try). Or light- too much? Too little? Or flow?

30 LEDs that close to the water is excessive. Not sure what that coral calls for but that much light is unnatural for any coral. What made you out so many LEDs in the hood?

It certainly is not excessive. Their output is about equal to a 250MH. It's a common retrofit these days.

put it in lower light for now I dont know much about leds, but have a 14inch yellow scroll and a laker scroll with med flow apx 200 par hitting it what are your water parmeters

No nitrate and like .5ish ppm phosphate. pH- 8.2~ Salinity- 1.025 on the dot. I moved it off to the side which puts it in a significantly darker area since the LEDs are very directional.
