This is either bite or injury and if there is an aggressor, it needs to bve kept away for best chance of healing.
What other fish are in tank?
One way to find an aggressor is to set your cell phone on video mode for about 40 mins and drop a little food and walk away - YOU MUST walk away as they know youre there. Often the aggressor is a bully at feeding time.
Review the video and see who it may be
Would not be bad to have some seachem kanaplex on hand in case it becomes infected

Was the fish like this when you acquired it? If not, then vetteguy is right.

In any event, improve the fishes immune system. Feed the best foods and use the supplements noted for an ill fish in the Fish Nutrition post.

That is the normal coloration of a male macropharyngodon bipartitus... nothing to worry about :)
Upon looking at pics- that appears correct. Under blue lights, so deceiving

from Salty's comment and looking further, it is correct pigment, and I dont see where it suffers from nutrition. In the future, Please post pics under white lighting as the pigment area appeared as flesh (sorry to scare you)
For food - some favorites are mysis shrimp, LRS fish frenzy, spirulina brine shrimp, sm plankton and chopped krill.
