I have a large bowfront maybe 175 gallon that I've had sit for about a year because I'm trying to figure out how to fix or replace the bottom plastic frame. The guy I got it from said he put bondo or something on the crack but clearly that didnt work. He told me it would be fine and to not worry about it but my thinking is that it's there for a reason. I couldnt get a pic of this but where the cracks are and between the cracks theres a gap between the frame and the glass. I uploaded some photos on where the 2 cracks are and a photo of the 2 cracks. It looks like it's not just the font of the frame is cracked it's also the bottom. Is there a way to fix this frame or can I just replace it?

Is it just the wood stand that is cracked? If so i would just remove the old piece and use it as a template to make a new one.

I agree. If it is a top frame, then you need it if it has braces. The bottom piece is not structural.

If you can find out what kind of tank it is, a LFS might be able to order you a new frame piece - I got a LFS to order me a new top from to an All-Glass 120 that I broke... but it took a while. They would not deal with me direct and I had to use an authorized retailer, even though it just made the retailer mad to deal with this to make five bucks.

How would I find out who made the tank? Theres no markings on it.
