can anyone accurately identify this as fire or safe bristle?

I'm sure plenty of people will help to confirm or deny what I say, but that looks to be a common bristleworm and should be reef safe.

thanks

my first inclination is to get it out with tweezers but then I dont want to keep sticking my arm in the tank...If its the "safe" kind and is eating leftovers then i dont mind it even if it looks creepy!

I've seen those same worms in my tank. Pretty sure they're the same anyway. They can get large but they don't bother anything.

Pulled this guy out a few days ago. As fat as my index finger when it wasn't stretched out.

I pulled the rock out of the tank. Once I placed it on the counter, the worm crowded right out. Took about 3 minutes. Glad my rock wasn't glued down.
the piece that this guy is under is the base for my small wall...really dont want to pull it apart if i can help it...im only on day 31 new setup

Look up a diy worm trap. Usually consists of a plastic soda bottle with holes in it and straws inserted into those holes. Idea is, the worm crawls up the straw to eat food placed in the bottle. They seem to have a hard time finding their way back out. Good chance it will take several attempts to get it. You'll probably catch more than one as well.

yes already tried that but i dont think the Hikari was smelly enough and the straws i used may have been too small for this beast
