I just added a brittle star to my 6 month old 90 gallon mixed reef tank. I feed LRS and some brs sinking pellets twice a day. When I feed the tank he star fish comes running out. Unfortunately my magnificent foxface is a giant pig and eats everything. I don’t see much food hitting the bottom. How do I know if the star and my snails are getting enough food? I don’t want to over feed as I’m already fighting higher phosphates. They were 1. Now they’re down around .07 -.02 depending on when I change Rowaphos.

IME brittle and serpent stars will eat anything. I wouldn't worry very much, but if you do you can just throw some pellets behind the rocks and he will find it

I had a few that would take bits of fish from my hand.

Our tank had silverside Sunday one a week.

You can also chuck some food in when the lights are off.
