So I woke up to this morning to the pics shown. Got a film algae, brownish in color and not sure what it is. It is not in the DT or on the lft side where the return pump is either. My levels are ammonia- 0- nitriates-0, phospates-0(put a reactor in a few weeks ago) calcium-420, alk- 12.3- salinity 1.026, tank is aprox 6 months old. I was planning on doing a water change tomorrow seeing this. I dont have any fish in the DT since the velvet outbreak. My questions are:

1. should leave it alone and throw a few snails down there?

2. or should I try to scrub it up and do a water change, I have a sponge filter that wont allow peices to go into the dt.

3. Am I just spinning wheels and is this just part of the big cylce and will go away on its own?

I would try snails first. Trying to scrub it off probably will help for awhile but it will most likely grow back.

Add a few snails down there and wiped the glass so I can see in one side. I will let it go for now. Also, my temp is running aroung 78-79 degrees since I put the light below. Not sure that makes a difference. Used to run around 77.
